Workshops & Events

Workshops and retreats are on the way: in-person time to write, side by side. Sign up below and you'll hear first when dates are set.

Workshops

Write in Good Company

There's nothing like writing in a room full of women doing the same brave thing. Come for the honest prompts. Leave with pages you didn't have that morning.

Group workshops

The Author Intensive — One day. Or two, if you want to go further.

Small, generative sessions on finding your voice. During our first day together, we'll move you from an idea to a real plan: personal branding, book structure, and an outline you can actually write from. Add a second day and we go further — the publishing landscape, and how to start selling your book before it ever launches.

On the horizon

Writing Retreats

This is where it's all heading: a few days somewhere beautiful to slow down, write, and remember who you are when no one needs anything from you. Just good food, real conversation, long walks, and the pages you've been meaning to write.

The first gatherings are taking shape, most likely in Sun Valley, my favorite place on earth, and maybe a Nashville weekend, too. Add your name and you'll be the first to hear as dates and places come together.

For your next event

“Writing Your Next Chapter.”

Reinvention is the story I can't stop telling. Twenty-five years in brand management. A leap out of corporate with no plan whatsoever. A thirty-hour drive to Nashville with my dogs and most of what I owned sold behind me. A debut novel, after three books of nonfiction. I've lived enough plot twists to fill a Substack, so I did.

The talk brings those stories to the stage: the people who shape us, the risks worth taking, and the unexpected turns that make a life. Part memoir, part strategy, with a bit of laughter to boot. Your audience will walk away believing the next chapter is theirs to write.

Author talks & classes

Bring me in for an author talk on how books actually get written and launched, with honest answers to the questions writers ask. Or a short class: prompts on the table, everyone writing before the hour is out. Either way, I build it around your group, whether that's a library, a conference, or a community of writers and readers.
